Hudsonville Christian School is celebrating the completion of a new wing that allows the entire elementary school, preschool through grade 5, to operate under one roof for the first time in decades. The 11 classroom addition allows the school to discard four portable classrooms and vacate the White School on School Avenue that has since been purchased by Creative Community Consultants, LLC. We are deeply grateful for God's blessing and the support of our school community that have made this site enhancement successful. We look forward to using this improved facility to God's glory and to more excellently serve our students and our community.
Hudsonville Christian School began a capital campaign in April, 2003 to raise 2.34 million dollars to meet our pressing facility needs. These funds accommodate the addition ($1.8 million), make necessary playground improvements and parking space, and to fund our Faith Campaign ($340,000).
The Faith Campaign, held annually, allows us to maintain our buildings and sites so tuition dollars can be dedicated entirely to the Christian instructional program. The Faith Campaign had been suspended during the Capital Campaign.
We are currently nearing the end of the three year period of the Capital Campaign. As of April 14, 2005 we had $1,864,000 pledged. Our goal is for Hudsonville Christian School to be debt free at the end of this year.
