Student Recognition Program

  1. GOALS:
    1. To build up the self-esteem of our students.
    2. To recognize student achievements/accomplishments.
    3. To encourage academic excellence.
    4. To express appreciation for student participation and involvement in our middle school program.

  2. TYPES OF RECOGNITION AND PROCEDURE:

    6TH GRADE:
    1. Each student will be sent a birthday card. This card is signed and sent by the team of teachers. Mr. Pott will give a treat to students for their birthday.
    2. Certificates of Participation will be presented to students who participate in after school basketball and track.
    3. Students who complete the 2.0 mile Fall Fitness Feat course within 50 minutes are presented with a ribbon. The winners from each grade level are given additional prizes.

    7TH GRADE:
    1. Each student will be sent a birthday card. This card is signed and sent by the team of teachers. Mr. Pott will give a treat to students for their birthday.
    2. Certificates of Participation will be presented to members of the following athletic teams: soccer, basketball, swimming, golf, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, track, cross country, baseball, and softball.
    3. Students who complete the 2.0 mile Fall Fitness Feat course within 50 minutes are presented with a ribbon. The winners from each grade level are given additional prizes.
    4. Students who achieve a B+ cumulative average for all Core 2 and Core 5 subject areas during a nine week marking period will be placed on an Honor Roll. This Honor Roll will be completely re-calculated for each new nine week marking period.

    8TH GRADE:
