Student Recognition Program
- GOALS:
- To build up the self-esteem of our students.
- To recognize student achievements/accomplishments.
- To encourage academic excellence.
- To express appreciation for student participation and involvement in our middle school program.
- TYPES OF RECOGNITION AND PROCEDURE:
6TH GRADE:
- Each student will be sent a birthday card. This card is signed and sent by the team of teachers. Mr. Pott will give a treat to students for their birthday.
- Certificates of Participation will be presented to students who participate in after school basketball and track.
- Students who complete the 2.0 mile Fall Fitness Feat course within 50 minutes are presented with a ribbon. The winners from each grade level are given additional prizes.
7TH GRADE:
- Each student will be sent a birthday card. This card is signed and sent by the team of teachers. Mr. Pott will give a treat to students for their birthday.
- Certificates of Participation will be presented to members of the following athletic teams: soccer, basketball, swimming, golf, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, track, cross country, baseball, and softball.
- Students who complete the 2.0 mile Fall Fitness Feat course within 50 minutes are presented with a ribbon. The winners from each grade level are given additional prizes.
- Students who achieve a B+ cumulative average for all Core 2 and Core 5 subject areas during a nine week marking period will be placed on an Honor Roll. This Honor Roll will be completely re-calculated for each new nine week marking period.
