The first stage of our Oak Street building expansion project has begun with a major
redesign of the bus loading area. We hope to increase traffic efficiency and safety for
Hudsonville Christian and Unity students by constructing a U-shaped bus loop between the
elementary building and Unity's building.
In cooperation with Unity Christian High School, our plans include-- in addition to the bus turn-around-- construction of a parking area north of the future building expansion. The parking lot will be located where the north portion of the driveway had been between the schools, and will involve some rearrangement of Unity's athletic fields north of the school building. This new parking area will accommodate more Unity student parking, relieving some of the congestion in neighboring streets. Unity staff parking is planned for the center of the new bus loop.
